The itinerary aiming South will immediately let you into the heart of the lagoon. After departing from Venice, we will hug the coast of the islands of San Servolo, San Clemente and Poveglia, where you will visit old abandoned Austrian tinderboxes, and then sail through the fishermen’s settlements of San Pietro in Volta and Pellestrina. It will be possible to see the „peociere“, i.e. the typical breedind of mussels, and the "casoni"i.e. the fishing houses on pilings which can be found in the shallows. A LOOK AMONG THE ISLANDS

Venice is a place where time is dictated by the slow rythms of the tide which infuses an incomparable sense of peace and tranquillity.

NOTHERN LAGOON
Set sail and hug the coastline as far as the sea: on your way you will encounter the stronghold of Sant’Andrea, Venice’s defense gate from seaattacks. Pull up gently to the right to admire the peculiarities of a place of cult for Venetians: the „bacan“. Entering the Treporti canal, a major water route that leads to the northern part of the lagoon, you will be completely immersed in the typical lagoon landscape. This is a place where time is dictated by the slow rythms of the tide which infuses an incomparable sense of peace and tranquillity. Among the saltmarshes houses of dazzling colors can be glimpsed as well as the famous leaning tower of Burano. After a due stop and visit tot he islands of Burano and Torcello, we will moor safely close to the island of Mazzorbo. Here and in Burano you will find various restaurants that offer fresh fish and recipes typical of the Venetian lagoon: an excellent stop for dinner and an ideal place to spend the night. Once we will have left the lagoon islands, we will set sail into the sea through the Lido’s port exit and sail with the „Borin“, a morning wind which blows towards the South. We will then sail along the Lido’s coastline, rich in beaches and historical hotels; we will finally return to the lagoon through Malamocco’s port.

A flotilla is a vacation on a sailboat where you can have fun and meet lots of new friends. Just try and imagine 3 boats that sail following the same route and moor one next to the other every evening forming a floating island.

Sure, you can participate alone or with as many friends as you wish!

What about if the weather is bad?
Rarely do the perturbations last for a long time but anyway, in case of bad weather conditions, the flotilla always has alternatives, such as modifying the navigation itinerary or organizing excursions on land.

Do the boats have toilets on board?
All the sailboats we use are equipped with toilets similar to domestic ones; moreover, all the boats have a shower and hot water.

Which will my duties on board be?
No nautical experience or knowledge is required but you will have to help with the kitchen activities and cleaning up the inside of the boat.

How is eating organized?
Every boat is equipped with a kitchen and fridges; the crew will prepare lunches and dinners. The storeroom will be filled on the first day and the crew will be in charge of it.

I have never tried sailing: will I be sea-sick?
The only moment in which you will suffer is when you will have to disembark! The whole navigation will take place close to the island of the Venice archipelago in lagoons areas protected from strong winds.
